Vicuna in Patagonia in southern Chile. The vicuna is a wild relative of the llama, inhabiting mountainous regions of South America. Vicunas produce small amounts of extremely fine wool. This is very expensive because the animal can only be shorn every three years, and has to be caught from the wild.
